MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441076732 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Oct. 9, 2024, for 'device for coating a user's finger with a protective film.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A device for coating a user's finger with a protective film comprises a cuboidal box 1 having an iris hole 2 at its top for an insertion of the finger into the box 1, a container 3 provided on a bottom surface of the box 1, inside the box 1 for storing the protective films, a pair of telescopic arms 4, having U-shaped flaps 5 at their ends, attached on the box 1 by hinge joint 6 s, for picking the protective film, a moisture sensor, provided inside the box 1, for detecting a moisture on the finger, a blower 7 in the box 1 for a drying of the detected moisture on the finger, a weight sensor, provided inside the container 3, for detecting a weight of the films, and an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 9 installed on the box 1 to determine a tear on an applied film."
