MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441076734 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Oct. 9, 2024, for 'device for bending an edge of a roofing sheet.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A device for bending an edge of a roofing sheet comprises of, an L-shaped telescopic rod 1 having a soft coating for a user to acquire a grip onto the rod 1, a base plate 2 attached rigidly to the telescopic rod 1, a hydraulic pusher 5 provided on the base plate 2, beside the vertical member, connected to the parallel flaps 3 by a pin joint, for pushing the parallel flaps 3 about the hinge joint 4, to bend the inserted roofing sheet, a motorized cutting wheel 7, provided on the base, for a cutting of the roofing sheet, and an imaging unit 8 installed on the base to determine a section for creating a cut to provide on the base and laser projection unit 9 to project a guiding line on the roofing sheet to guide the user for creating a cut along the projected guiding line."
