MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026084 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'device for a maintenance of a spoon.'

Inventor(s) include Himanshu Gogia; Mandeep; Gagandeep Singh; Mandeep Singh; Harsimran; and Mehak.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A device for a maintenance of a spoon, comprising a base platform 1 having a washing container 1 with a mesh plate 5 over which spoons are secured with a pair of clamps 3, a primary nozzle 6 connected to a tank 7 with a first pump to spray washing liquid on spoon, a telescopic arm 8 and a brush 9 for scrubbing spoon, a speaker 10 notifies user for emptying of washing container 1, a robotic arm 11 with a gripper for placing spoon on a primary conveyor belt 16 to move spoon to a shaping assembly 12 for heating by a heating unit and for eliminating deformities, a polishing plate 13 attached to a robotic link 14 for polishing spoon and if corrosion is detected then speaker 10 notifies user to discard that spoon."
