MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517053510 A) filed by Commissariat A L'Energie Atomique Et Aux Energies Alternatives; and Institut Louis De Broglie, Paris, on June 2, for 'device and method for generating electroplasmic heat.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Device and method for generating electroplasmic heat The invention relates to a device (100) for generating heat comprising: - a chamber (11) containing a liquid electrolyte (14), - a first 5 electrode (12) in the form of a wire and a second electrode (13) which extends along a, preferably flat, surface and is arranged in a configuration referred to as a wire-surface configuration with the first electrode, the first and second electrodes being immersed at least partially in the liquid electrolyte, - an electrical power supply (16) configured to generate a voltage, preferably in the form of pulses, between the first and second electrodes so as to 10 generate a plasma around the first electrode."
