Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Development Of Single Base Propellant Nc/C-018 For Eru-204 In Ajeet Aircraft' Filed by The General Manager, Cordite Factory Aruvankadu

MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202041005976 A) filed by The General Manager, Cordite Factory Aruvankadu, The Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu, on Feb. 12, 2020, for 'development of single base propellant nc/c-018 for eru-204 in ajeet aircraft.'

Inventor(s) include S. Sivakumar.

The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention is in the field of manufacturing of propellant. In particular, the .invention is in single base propellant powder suitable for ERU-204 in Ajeet Aircraft, used by the Indian Air Force for safeguarding the pilot in case of emergency. The single base propellant powder has been developed in the form of circular flakes of 0.67 - 0.73 mm dia, 0.155 - 0.205 mm thickness and Bulk density of minimum 0.90 g/cm3, as per the requirement of IAF with energy of 945 + 10 Cal/g."
