The toolkit includes three distinct categories of cards: Trigger Cards, which depict high-risk internal or external cues; Thought Distortion Cards, which capture maladaptive cognitions associated with alcohol craving; and Counterstrategy Cards, which provide evidence-based coping responses derived from cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational enhancement therapy, and relapse prevention models. The cards are laminated, portable, and color-coded for ease of use. The toolkit is applicable across individual therapy, group therapy, and self-help contexts, and may be adapted for digital platforms. Additional embodiments include customizable blank cards, emotion cards, and motivational cards. The invention uniquely integrates assessment and intervention in a single, scalable system that is extendable to other addictive disorders such as nicotine dependence, cannabis use, gambling, and binge eating."
