MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311086022 A) filed by Whirlpool Corporation, Benton Harbor, U.S.A., on Dec. 16, 2023, for 'detergent dispensing assembly having an internal agitator mechanism.'
Inventor(s) include Arul Chandran; Murali Ramalingam; Chandradhar Singh Rathore; and Jayneel Pradip Shah.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A laundry appliance includes a drum that is disposed within the outer cabinet. A processing space is defined within the drum. A fluid delivery system directs a carrier fluid from a fluid inlet that is positioned proximate a top edge of the drum and through a fluid path to the processing space via a fluid outlet that is positioned proximate a base of the drum. A detergent receptacle is disposed within a wall of the drum and along the fluid path. A detergent mixer is disposed within the detergent receptacle and is positioned between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. Movement of the carrier fluid engages the detergent mixer and rotates the detergent mixer about a horizontal axis to agitate a laundry chemistry that is disposed within the detergent receptacle."
