MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006927 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 1, 2024, for 'design imprinting device for fixed surfaces.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Shweta Lamba; Dr. Sushil Kamboj; Dr. Amresh Kumar; and Satwinder Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A design imprinting device for fixed surfaces, comprises of an elongated body 1 arranged with a handle 2 accessed by a user for positioning body 1 in proximity to a fixed surface, an imaging unit 3 determines surface area of surface, a computing unit for enabling user to specify a imprinting design along with a portion of area from determined surface area over which design is to be imprinted, a telescopic bar 5 for positioning a plate 4 embossed with specific pattern at edge of user-desired area for imprinting user-specified design, a speaker 6 for guiding user for providing a downward movement to body 1 on surface which in turn provides a vertical movement to plate 4 as required for imprinting surface and a motorized ball and socket joint 7 provides an angular movement to plate 4 to bend in multiple orientations in order to emboss user-desired design over surface."
