MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541120531 A) filed by Nandha Engineering College, Erode, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 2, 2025, for 'design and fabrication of pneumatic seed ball making machine.'
Inventor(s) include N Senniangiri; S Naveen Kumar; S Nishanth; and S Nithyanantha Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a pneumatic seed ball making machine designed to automate the formation of uniform seed balls for afforestation and agricultural applications. The system integrates a hopper-based feeding mechanism, a moulding unit, and a double-acting pneumatic cylinder controlled through a 4/2 directional control valve to achieve consistent compaction of the soil-binder-seed mixture. The machine ensures uniform size, improved compaction quality, and high production efficiency while minimizing manual effort. Its lightweight frame and low-cost pneumatic components make it suitable for small-scale farming, nurseries, and educational institutions. The invention offers an eco-friendly, energy-efficient solution for large-scale seed ball production to support reforestation initiatives and sustainable land restoration."
