MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641024443 A) filed by Chennai Institute Of Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on March 2, for 'design and development of environmental monitoring system for the well-being of mankind.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The current innovation is in the field of environmental monitoring and encompasses IoT based monitoring of various environmental parameters in real time. The innovation is capable of monitoring temperature and humidity of the environment, and detecting and monitoring the air quality, the presence of people in the environment and the levels of ambient light. The information is processed by a control module provided in the innovation. The innovation provides a control mechanism which when the monitored parameters breach the predefined thresholds. The control mechanism provides visual and audible indications which indicate an abnormal situation. The innovation provides the facility of remote surveillance of the monitored parameters by means of wireless communication which allows the operators of the innovation to the monitored environment."
