MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541123901 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 9, 2025, for 'dentease a holistic oral hygiene device for patients with oral submucous fibrosis and postoperative oral cancer care.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to Dentease, a compact oral hygiene device specifically designed for patients with oral submucous fibrosis and postoperative oral cancer care. The device incorporates a U-shaped cleaning head of flexible silicone (10 mm thickness, 15 mm width, 30-40 mm length), refillable dentifrice and mouthwash reservoirs, and a motorized vibrationdispensing system (15,000-30,000 rpm). It allows effective oral hygiene in restricted oral openings as low as 10 mm. Sectional variants enable localized cleaning in maxillectomy/mandibulectomy patients. Portable, ergonomic, and biocompatible, the device reduces plaque accumulation, infection risk, and postoperative complications, improving oral health and quality of life."
