MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421011229 A) filed by Hegde Rahul Jagannath; Shigli Anand Lingaraj; Karibassapa Nagappa Gundabhakta; Gawali Pritesh Namdeo; Narsule Divya Arvind; and Narkhede Sakshi Shrikant, Pune, Maharashtra, on Feb. 18, 2024, for 'dental saliva-suction device and method for suction of saliva in oral cavity of patient.'

Inventor(s) include Hegde Rahul Jagannath; Shigli Anand Lingaraj; Karibassapa Nagappa Gundabhakta; Gawali Pritesh Namdeo; Narsule Divya Arvind; and Narkhede Sakshi Shrikant.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Dental saliva-suction device (100) is portable for outdoor camps because of compact structure and the method for suction of saliva in oral cavity (91a) of patient (91) is a handy-handling from known non-portable devices. Dental saliva-suction device (100) includes a portable-casing (10), a support-frame (20), a frame-suction pipe (30), a vacuum-pump (40), an elastic-container (50), a flexible-pipe (60), an oral-suction-tool (70) and a power-storage-unit (80). Portable-casing (10) is handy and oral-suction-tool (70) is inserted in an oral cavity (91a) and a switch (81) is actuated by a dentist (90) to operate the vacuum-pump (40) to suck saliva (91b) and fill in the elastic-container (50) which inflates and after suction, the portable-casing (10) is opened to remove elastic-container (50) and flush-out filled saliva (91b) which causes the elastic-container (50) to deflate saving space in portable-casing (10)."
