MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511113243 A) filed by Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on Nov. 18, 2025, for 'dental chair integrated multi-compartment waste disposal system.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Prajesh Dubey; and Dr. Preeti Mishra.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses an Integrated Multi-Compartment Waste Disposal System for Dental Chairs that allows for the immediate segregation and disposal of biomedical waste at the chair-side. Integrated into or mounted next to the dental chair are four compartments for waste disposal that are color coded (yellow, red, blue, and white). Each compartment is controlled by a separate foot pedal. This design is hands-free, minimizing the chances of contamination, and offers increased efficiency. The integrated design greatly aids in the management of dental waste."
