MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511133720 A) filed by GNA University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Dec. 30, 2025, for 'dental care items storage and sanitization device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A dental care items storage and sanitization device, comprising a housing 101, a case 102 for sanitising, the case 102 disposed over a slider 103 provided along an inner length of the housing 101, a plurality of slots 109 to store a plurality of toothbrushes, an extendable gripper 110 to fetch the toothbrush from the case 102 and position the toothbrush into the slot, a biometric authentication unit 108 to verify an identity of the user and determine a slot having the toothbrush, a dryer unit 104 to dry the toothbrush, a sterilisation unit 105 to sterilize the toothbrush, a water sprinkling unit 106 to sprinkle water onto the toothbrush, a toothpaste dispensing unit 107 to dispense toothpaste onto the toothbrush, a pair of extendable brackets 102a to hold the toothbrush, a rotatable extending base 102b to raise the toothbrush outwards from the case 102."
