MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441068316 A) filed by Shilpa Medicare Limited, Raichur, Karnataka, on Sept. 10, 2024, for 'delivery of medication using a catheter and pressure.'
Inventor(s) include Parag Janardan Lokhande; and Veerendra Kumar Panuganti.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present embodiments provide systems and methods for delivering the active pharmaceutical ingredients to a target site. A container holds the active pharmaceutical ingredient and a pressure source, which is preferably a bag-on-valve container containing the active pharmaceutical ingredient composition. The container is further connected to the cannula (connector) for the passage of active ingredient to the catheter which delivers the active ingredient to the target site."
