MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202537080691 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on Aug. 26, for 'data processing method and data processing device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Embodiments of the present application provide a data processing method and a data processing device. FEC coding are used in conjunction with PCS technology to meet needs of longer transmission distances. Specifically, PCS processing is performed on a first set of bits in k bits to obtain a second set of bits, k being an integer greater than 1. FEC coding is performed on the second set of bits and a third set of bits other than the first set of bits in the k bits to obtain a fourth set of bits. The fourth set of bits comprises m0 first bit subsets, and each first bit subset comprises F0 bits, wherein m0 is an integer greater than 1, and F0 is an even number greater than 1. First interleaving processing is performed on the fourth set of bits to obtain a fifth set of bits. The fifth set of bits comprises m0 second bit subsets, each second bit subset comprises F0 bits, F0/2 bits in each second bit subset are from the second set of bits, and the other F0/2 bits in each second bit subset are from the third set of bits and/or FEC-coded check bits."
