Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Data Augmentation Method And Computing Device Thereof' Filed by Wistron Corporation

MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202424062907 A) filed by Wistron Corporation, New Taipei City, Taiwan, on Aug. 20, 2024, for 'data augmentation method and computing device thereof.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A data augmentation method includes obtaining an input image and creating a plurality of output images corresponding to the input image. At least one first pixel of the input image is displaced to form one output image. The displacement of each first pixel is randomized. This overcomes the challenge when training data is scarce."
