MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621023573 A) filed by Ve Commercial Vehicles Ltd., Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, on Feb. 27, for 'damper assembly for mounting a high-mass battery to a vehicle structure.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a damper assembly (100) for mounting a high-mass battery to a vehicle structure, the assembly (100) comprising: an upper plate (102); a lower plate (104) spaced from the upper plate (102); an elastomeric damper body (106) disposed between the upper plate (102) and the lower plate (104); an interlocking feature (108) formed between the upper plate (102) and the lower plate (104) and configured to resist axial separation; and a retention rod (110) extending through aligned openings in the upper plate (102) and the lower plate (104), wherein the interlocking feature (108) and the retention rod (110) cooperate to prevent axial separation of the upper plate (102) from the lower plate (104) during rebound loading while permitting elastic deformation of the elastomeric damper body (106) during compression and vibration."
