MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004065 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'damaged tiles replacement device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A damaged tiles replacement device, comprising a housing 1 installed with a touch enabled screen 2 to feed input for replacing damaged tiles, a camera 3 detects number of damaged tiles, a motorized iris lid 4 configured with a chamber 5 for dispensing cement powder in a vessel 6, an electronic nozzle 7 attached with a receptacle 8 for dispensing water within vessel 6, four omnidirectional wheels 10 equipped with four suction cups 11 for maneuvering housing 1 near damaged tiles, an L-shaped telescopically operated rod 13 equipped with a motorized cutter 14 which works in synchronization with a two-axis lead screw arrangement 15 of cutting out tiles, an electronic valve 16 installed on housing 1 via L-shaped bar 17 for dispensing mixture, a telescopically operated gripper 9 grips new tiles from a container and positions it in cavities, and an L-shaped telescopically operated pusher 19 applies pressure on tiles."
