MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617001977 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Jan. 8, for 'cylindrical battery fixing device having enhanced attachment/detachment function.'

Inventor(s) include Kim, Seong Kyu.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a cylindrical battery fixing device comprising: a flat lower housing which has a through hole into which a cylindrical battery is vertically inserted; an upper housing which is fixed to the upper part of the lower housing, overall has the shape of a cylinder or a triangular prism, and has guide recesses provided at intervals of 120 degrees in the lower end of the cylinder or triangular prism shape; and three fixing units which are inserted into the respective guide recesses of the upper housing and can move toward the center of the lower housing along the upper surface thereof, and each of which has, on the front surface thereof, a fixing protrusion that is insertedly fixed to the beading part of a cylindrical battery cell, wherein a fixing block is coupled to the rear surface of each fixing unit, and two or more compression springs are provided between each fixing block and the upper housing."
