MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073936 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 30, 2024, for 'cylinder relocating assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Vimal Kumar; Harsimran; and Harshita.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cylinder relocating assistive device, comprising an extendable platform 1 is positioned over a ground surface by means of a pair of motorized stair climbing wheels 2, a flap 4 is accessed by the user to position a cylinder that is to carried, a microphone 5 receive voice command of the user regrading relocation of the cylinder, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 6 evaluates dimensions of the cylinder, plurality of extendable clamps 7 each by means of a motorized primary hinge joint 8 and installed with an electromagnet 9 to affix the clamps 7 with opposite lateral side of the frame, resulting in affixing of the cylinder with the frame and allowing the user to relocate the cylinder by translating the platform 1 over the surface."
