MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641063652 A) filed by Suresh C, Kovaipudur, Tamil Nadu, on May 20, for 'cybersecure occupant positioning, restraint authentication, and predictive safety protection system.'
Inventor(s) include Suresh C.
The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a cybersecure occupant positioning and restraint authentication system for connected vehicles. The system comprises a smart restraint sensing assembly, multi-modal sensor acquisition subsystem, behavioral fingerprint generation engine, cyber-physical authentication framework, pretensioner authorization subsystem, intrusion detection engine, secure communication architecture, and seat-position authentication subsystem. Synchronized behavioral data associated with restraint-system events is processed to generate authenticated behavioral fingerprints corresponding to restraint-state transitions. An anomaly detection engine identifies abnormal restraint behavior, spoofed communication activity, unauthorized actuator commands, malicious deployment attempts, and cyber-physical inconsistencies using synchronized physical and communication-layer analysis. The invention further provides authenticated crash-state validation, secure actuator authorization, fail-safe occupant protection operations, and secure seat-position control using embedded cyber-physical processing integrated with vehicle restraint-system components."
