MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531020379 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 6, for 'cutting wheel sharpening device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Pragyan Paramita Pattnaik.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cutting wheel sharpening device, comprising a cuboidal housing 101 having four telescopic rods 102 attached underneath housing 101, ends of rods 102 are provided with motorized omnidirectional wheels 103 for a locomotion of housing 101, a cylindrical member 104 having multiple teeth 105 formed on a lateral surface of member 104, installed on a motorized shaft mounted horizontally on base via a rack and pinion mechanism 106 for sharpening of a cutting wheel, a telescopic gripper 107 grips cutting wheel for sharpening, an imaging unit 108, in synchronization with an angle sensor determines position and angle of cutting wheel held by gripper 107, a nozzle 109 attached in housing 101, connected with a water tank 110 in housing 101 via a conduit for spraying water on cutting wheel."
