MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026083 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'curtain management device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sonam Sharma; Dr. Anuradha Barda; Dr. Charu; Drishty; and Kritika Thakur.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A curtain management device, comprising a rectangular platform 1 developed to be adhered on a fixed surface over a window pane via plurality of suction cups 2 and installed with a rectangular frame 3, a user-interface to give input commands for securing the rod with the platform 1, plurality of motorized hinges 10 for tilting and deploying plurality of curved-shaped members 9 attached with the hinges 10 for holding rods, an imaging unit 4 for detecting weather conditions outside window, a motorized roller 5 wrapped with a PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) sheet 6 to rotate for uncoiling sheet 6 and aligning sheet 6 in front of the curtain to prevent curtain from getting moistened/dirty, a pair of motorized clamps 7 for gripping bottom end of curtain and a pair of motorized sliders 8 for translating clamps 7 for closing curtains to uncover window."
