MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514076824 A) filed by Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki Kaisha, Aichi, Japan, on Aug. 12, 2025, for 'current collector and battery.'

Inventor(s) include Hideaki Nishimura; Masatsugu Kawakami; and Tetsuya Waseda.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The current collector includes: a first layer that includes Al; a second layer that is disposed on the first layer and includes a metal element M, the metal element M having an oxidation-reduction potential based on Li of 2.3V or more and not being an amphoteric element; and a third layer that is disposed on the second layer and includes a resin."
