MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541039152 A) filed by Dhandapani NP, Erode, Tamil Nadu, on April 23, 2025, for 'curd churning machine or butter & buttermilk making machine.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A device for producing butter and butter milk from curd easily and efficiently. The device has a 1440 RPM reversible motor enclosed with a base cabinet. The container to hold the diluted curd, positioned above the base cabinet. The container has a narrow mouth and broad central and base areas to avoid the splashing out of the liquid above the container, during rotation. At the bottom of the container, have a hub to hold a spindle with a small, flat, linear leaf (with its plane vertical) to rotate (forward and reverse)the liquid which is easy to handle and clean. When the rotator driven in both directions by the motor at the base, the liquid ( diluted curd) in the container splits into butter and buttermilk in a small fraction of hour.The rotation axis of the spindle of the container and shaft of the motor and symmetrical axis of the total system must be the same straight line to avoid tilt."
