MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641042718 A) filed by Woxsen University, Hyderabad, Telangana, on April 2, for 'cuo-pi-bp based metal-organic porous cage and method for synthesizing thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Nivedita; Neetu Talreja; Divya Chauhan; Sangeeta Sahu; and Mohammad Ashfaq.
The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A CuO-PI-BP based metal-organic porous cage comprises Cu derived from CuSO4, KI, polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and bee pollen (BP), and a method for synthesizing CuO-PI-BP-based metal-organic porous cage by mixing CuSO4 into deionized (DI) water with continuous stirring to obtain a CuSO4 solution, dissolving KI in 40 mL of DI water and stirring to prepare a homogeneous solution of KI, adding the homogeneous KI solution to the CuSO4 solution dropwise with continuous stirring to produce a Cu2I2 complex, mixing PVP into the Cu2I2 complex to produce a povidone-iodine-CuO solution, dissolving BP into DI with stirring to prepare a homogeneous solution of BP, adding the homogeneous solution of BP dropwise to the CuO-PI solution with continuous stirring and heating to produce CuO-PI-based metal-organic porous cages and drying the washed CuO-PI-based metal-organic porous cages to obtain CuO-PI-P1B1 powder as a CuO-PI-BP-based metal-organic porous cage."
