MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521105054 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Oct. 30, for 'crowd management system for railway platform entrances.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A crowd management system for railway platform entrances, comprising a rectangular gate 101 serving as a controlled access point for passengers boarding trains, a plurality of radio frequency identification (RFID) readers 102, barcode scanners 103 and facial recognition cameras 104 verifying passenger tickets, a plurality of horizontal pneumatic barriers 105 equipped with vertically extendible pneumatic rods 106 preventing unauthorized or unsafe entry, a holographic projector 107 to project clear and engaging visual cues for safety guidance, a speaker 108 delivering real-time alerts, multiple AI-enabled cameras 111 to monitor crowd conditions by analyze real-time footage of crowded areas to detect movement patterns and vulnerable individuals such as children or persons in distress, multiple light emitting diode (LED) lights 109 acting as visual guides for passengers powered by a solar sheet 112."
