MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641062153 A) filed by Sr University, Warangal, Telangana, on May 15, for 'crop monitoring and protection system.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A crop monitoring and protection system, comprises a base platform 101 supporting a navigation module configured to map a farm and execute patrol routes along borders, a surveillance module coupled for monitoring fields and detecting threats and intruders, a plurality of high-intensity LED units 106 each coupled to an individual robotic arm 107 for delivering directional, color-coded and strobe lighting patterns based on identified threat type, a sound-based deterrent module comprising ultrasonic emitters 108, a high-decibel siren 109, a speaker 110 and a directional warning horn 111 for emitting species specific deterrent sounds and voice messages, a wildfire detection module including an IR flame sensor, temperature sensor, humidity sensor and thermal imaging camera 112 enabling a microcontroller to generate alerts, a pair of storage reservoirs 113 with nozzles 114 and high-pressure pump 116 for suppression, and a scissor linkage-based collapsible frame 117 with heat-resistant barrier sheets 118 for fire prevention."
