MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641007596 A) filed by Easwari Engineering College; and Srm Institute Of Science And Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Jan. 27, for 'cronos: calibrated reasoning for omnidomain network outlier security.'
Inventor(s) include R Arun; P Dhayanthi; and P Muthulakshmi.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An intelligent, privacy-first system for the automated analysis of cybersecurity logs is provided. The invention, CRONOS, introduces a novel tri-modal detection engine that synergizes rule-based detection, machine learning, and a locally-hosted large language model (LLM) to analyze security logs with high accuracy. A Bayesian calibration mechanism intelligently fuses the outputs from these three parallel engines to drastically reduce false positives and increase the confidence of threat detection. The system guarantees 100% explainability by automatically generating portable Sigma rules and mapping all findings to the MITRE ATT&CK framework. Its privacy-first architecture, which performs all AI analysis on-premises, ensures that no sensitive data is ever transmitted externally. The invention is designed for enterprise and government use, providing a scalable solution to overcome the limitations of traditional SIEM systems and enhance the capabilities of modern security operations."
