MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631002140 A) filed by Prantae Solutions Private Limited, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Jan. 8, for 'creatinine determination reagent and method for preparation thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a creatinine determination reagent and method for preparation thereof. The reagent comprises a stable, dispersible self-assembled network which is reaction product of a salt of nitro-substituted benzoic acid, an alkaline medium and a chelating agent. Disclosed single reagent eliminates the need for on-site preparation of multiple solutions, minimizing operational errors and enabling use in both laboratory and field settings. Moreover, the method for determination is applicable for biological samples, such as bovine urine, and commercial solutions, offering a simple, rapid, and scalable solution for industrial and point-of-care creatinine analysis."
