MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517094030 A) filed by Aesc Jiangsu Co. Ltd.; and Aesc Shanghai Co. Ltd., Jiangyin, China, on Sept. 30, for 'cover plate assembly of battery and secondary battery comprising same.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cover plate assembly (11) and a secondary battery comprising the cover plate assembly (11). The cover plate assembly (11) comprises a cover plate (2), a liquid injection hole (3) and a sealing member (4), wherein the cover plate (2) is provided with a first recess (211) formed by recessing in the thickness direction of the cover plate (2), and a recess body (212); the liquid injection hole (3) is arranged in the recess body (212); the sealing member (4) is accommodated in the first recess (211) and abuts against the end face of the recess body (212) that faces the first recess (211); the end of a sealing body (41) of the sealing member (4) away from the recess body (212) is provided with an outer edge abutting against a recess wall of the first recess (211); the outer edge forms a first measurement part; an edge of a port of a clearance recess (42) forms a second measurement part; the shortest distance between the first measurement part and the second measurement part is L; the height of the sealing body (41) in the thickness direction of the cover plate (2) is H1; and the range of the ratio of L to H1 is 0.8-3, so as to ensure that an area where the sealing member (4) can be welded is thick enough, thereby reducing the welding heat effect, such that the sealing member (4) does not easily deform, thus preventing cracking at a position where the sealing member (4) and the cover plate (2) are welded."
