MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441028247 A) filed by Zf Cv Systems Europe Bv, Brussels, on April 5, 2024, for 'coupling device, method for producing a coupling device, brake booster assembly and vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Basheer, Rahman; Sekar, Karthi; Veeramalai Palaniappan, Balaji; Thameesdeen, Sahul; and Subramaniyam, Shanmugham.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention is directed to a coupling device (100) for coupling a rotor (206) of a vac-uum pump (202) to a rotating drive shaft (204). The coupling device (100) comprises sintered metal and includes a central section (102) having an opening (103) for engag-ing the rotor (206), and a peripheral section (104) including two peripheral sub-sections (104a, 104b), defining between them two opposite spacings (106a, 106b) that extend along the whole axial extension of the coupling device for engaging the drive shaft. The peripheral section has an axial extension (E2) larger than an axial extension (E1) of the central section (102). In the coupling device, at least a first portion (107) of a transition section (108) between the respective peripheral sub-sections and a distal face (101) of the central section presents a circular arc shape (R1) on a plane (XY) perpendicular to the axial direction (Z)."
