MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517058472 A) filed by Apr Co. Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on June 18, for 'cosmetic procedure device having non-contact detection sensor.'

Inventor(s) include Ji, Jong Chul; Lee, Gyoun Jung; and Park, Seung Woo.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cosmetic procedure device is disclosed. A cosmetic procedure device, according to one aspect of the present invention, for performing a cosmetic procedure on the skin of a user may comprise: a main body; a procedure unit which is provided in the main body, and which has, therein, a procedure space in which the skin of the user undergoes a procedure; a stimulation application unit which is disposed in the procedure space, and which applies stimulation to the skin of the user; and a sensor unit which is disposed in the procedure unit, and which detects changes in capacitance so as to sense when the skin of the user is in contact with the stimulation application unit."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 21, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/021314.
