MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617016840 A) filed by Saint-Gobain Glass France, Courbevoie, France, on Feb. 16, for 'corner connector for fire-resistant glazing units.'
Inventor(s) include Nafz, Joachim; Korus, Jerome; and Guhl, Tim.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a corner connector (I) for connecting two ends of at least one profiled strip in fire-resistant glazing units, comprising two plug-in legs (31) suitable for plugging into or plugging onto a profiled strip (1), a connecting region (34) which connects the two plug-in legs (31), an outer surface (36), two lateral surfaces (37) and an inner surface (38), wherein - a recess (33) is provided in the corner connector (I), which extends from the outer surface (36) of the corner connector (I) to the inner surface (38) of the corner connector (I), and - a plug (32) is inserted into the recess (33), starting from the inner surface (38) of the corner connector (I), which closes the recess (33)."
