Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Coordinating Operations Among Multiple Access Points Within A Multi-Ap Coordination Group In A Communication Network' Filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.

MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441075300 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Oct. 4, 2024, for '"coordinating operations among multiple access points within a multi-ap coordination group in a communication network".'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a method for coordinating operations among multiple access points (APs) within a multi-AP coordination (MAPC) group in a communication network system. The method includes detecting one or more neighbor APs of a plurality of APs. Further, the method includes forming the MAPC group including the AP (101) and the one or more detected neighbor APs, coordinating with each other based on a coordination scheme during the pre-coordination duration. The AP (101) and the one or more neighbor APs are restricted from leaving the MAPC group during the pre-coordination duration. Further, the method includes maintaining a post-coordination duration after the establishment of the MAPC group. The AP (101) and the one or more neighbor APs are allowed to exit the MAPC group conditionally during the post-coordination duration."
