MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341087352 A) filed by Mercedes-Benz Group Ag, Stuttgart, Germany, on Dec. 20, 2023, for 'cooling system for a battery of an electric vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Suhas Math; Kavitha Narasimhalu; Vivekanand Pasupathy; Santhoshi Mula; Om Prakash Saw; Vivek Vishwakarma; Deepit Ouzu James; and Haris Shaikh.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cooling system (100) for a battery (102) of an electric vehicle is disclosed. The cooling system comprises a first coolant plate (104) extending in a sinusoidal pattern, a second coolant plate (106) spaced apart from the first coolant plate and extending in a sinusoidal pattern. Each row of cells of a plurality of rows of cells (108) of the battery is attached to at least one of the first coolant plate or the second coolant plate and configuration of adjacent rows of cells of the plurality of rows of cells alternates between terminal end (110a) being oriented in upward direction and terminal end being oriented in downward direction. The cooling system further comprises a coolant passage (112) defined between the first coolant plate and the second coolant plate to allow flow of a coolant for cooling the battery of the electric vehicle."
