MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514079503 A) filed by Apple Inc., Cupertino, U.S.A., on Aug. 21, 2025, for 'cooling profiles in wireless charging systems.'
Inventor(s) include Van Der Merwe, Ashley; Kumar, Arunim; and Abukhalaf, Zaid A.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wireless charging system may include a wireless power receiving device that receives wireless power signals from a wireless power transmitting device. The wireless power transmitting device may transmit cooling capabilities information 5 to the wireless power receiving device. The wireless power receiving device may transmit a cooling profile request to the wireless power transmitting device."
