MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311083992 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 8, 2023, for 'cooking assistive device for bonfire.'
Inventor(s) include Krishna Kalsi; Ashwani K. Sharma; Bhasker Pratap Choudhary; and Navdeep Prashar.
The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cooking assistive device for bonfire comprises of a circular plate 1 crafted with cavities 2 to engage multiple bar(s) to position plate 1 at height, at-least three blocks 3 attached with plate 1 via spring 4 to be placed on the surface, a motorized conical shaped member 5 attached with each of the blocks 3 for penetrating into the surface to provide stability to the plate 1 on the bars, an imaging unit 6 for capturing surrounding images, a gear and linkage arrangement 7 configured with a hook 8 and suspended below the plate 1 for deploying hook 8, a weight sensor installed on hook 8 for detecting weight of utensil, a speaker 9 to notify user to remove utensil from hook 8, an odor sensor for detecting odor generated during cooking of the food item."
