MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006601 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'cooking assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Mandeep; and Madan.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A cooking assistive device, comprises of a V-shaped frame 1 on a fixed surface, a pair of holes configured with a suction unit 12 for providing support to the frame 1 over the surface, an AI-based imaging unit 3for capturing multiple images of the handle, a pair of motorized sliding units to translate pair of telescopic gripper for gripping the handle, a microphone 6 for receiving user's voice, an inverted U-shaped telescopic bar 7 to extract/retract for positioning a clamp 8 over edge portion of the handle to lift the utensil, a weight sensor for monitoring weight of the utensil, an odor sensor for determining condition of the food item, an inverted L-shaped telescopic rod 10configured with a curved perforated flap 11 for removing oil from the food and a PIR sensor for determining presence of any insects near the utensil."
