MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617017558 A) filed by Jfe Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on Feb. 17, for 'conveyance state detection device and conveyance state detection method.'

Inventor(s) include Kawanishi Moe; Ishigaki Yusuke; and Nishina Yoshiaki.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention makes it possible to automatically detect a conveyance state of an article to be conveyed on a belt. Provided is a conveyance state detection device (21) that detects conveyance states of a raw material (2) on belts (3) of a plurality of belt conveyors (1) which convey the raw material (2). The conveyance state detection device (21) comprises: an imaging device that images, from above, the belts (3) which convey articles to be conveyed; and a conveyance state detection unit (10) that carries out image processing on the image captured by the imaging device to detect conveyance states of the raw material (2) on the belts (3)."

The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 22, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/029806.
