The application for the patent was published on Jan. 2, under issue no. 01/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) affects 5-10% of the population and often disrupts daily social functioning. To support individuals experiencing this condition, we propose an AI-driven system that combines structured questionnaire data with advanced linguistic analysis to assess and reduce social anxiety. The system first collects Likert-scale ratings to determine baseline anxiety, followed by open-ended responses that capture detailed personal experiences. A hybrid NLP pipeline then analyses the text using VADER sentiment scoring and a fine-tuned transformer model that detects anxiety-related cues such as avoidance, uncertainty, and negative self-evaluation. These signals are fused into a Text Anxiety Score (TAS), enabling accurate classification into low, moderate, or high anxiety levels. Based on the score, the system generates personalized exposure scenarios and offers evidence-based coping strategies. Compared to traditional therapy, the system provides 24/7 accessibility, anonymity, and low-cost support."
