MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517090862 A) filed by Softbank Group Corp., Tokyo, on Sept. 23, for 'control system of robot, control program of robot, and management system of robot.'

Inventor(s) include Son, Masayoshi.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "In this control system of a robot, the robot comprises: a gripping part that is detachably attached to an arm of the robot and that is mounted for a main purpose of gripping an object; and at least one robot tool that can be attached to/detached from the arm in accordance with the task type different from gripping by the gripping part, and that executes a task corresponding to said task type. The control system has: a determination unit for determining a task type with respect to the object; and a control unit for controlling an action in which, if the task type determined by the determination unit meets the main purpose, the gripping part is attached to the arm and, if the determination result of the determination unit indicates a task type other than that of the main purpose, the robot tool is attached to the arm, and for controlling an action corresponding to the task type."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 04, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/008072.
