MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514081223 A) filed by Suzuki Motor Corporation, Shizuoka, Japan, on Aug. 27, 2025, for 'control device of hybrid vehicle.'

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "It is to provide a control device of a hybrid vehicle capable of reducing a fuel 5 consumption rate at an engine. [Solution] There is provided a control device to control a hybrid vehicle with an idle stop prohibition switch to select permission/prohibition of an idle stop control. While the idle stop prohibition switch is turned ON, the control device sets a range, within which a 10 motor is allowed to be driven, to be wider than while the idle stop prohibition switch is turned OFF."
