MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514081179 A) filed by Suzuki Motor Corporation, Shizuoka, Japan, on Aug. 27, 2025, for 'control device of hybrid vehicle.'

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "It is to provide a control device of a hybrid vehicle capable of preventing a fuel from being excessively consumed, at recovering a negative pressure in a negative pressure chamber of a brake booster. [Solution] A HCU 17 is configured to: drive an engine at a high rotation speed while supplying a fuel into the engine, if a battery SOC is a first SOC or lower when a negative pressure in a negative pressure chamber decreases below a first negative pressure P1 below which the negative pressure is necessary to be recovered; and drive the engine at a low rotation speed while supplying a fuel into the engine, if the battery SOC is higher than the first SOC when the negative pressure in the negative pressure chamber decreases below the first negative pressure."
