MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517097689 A) filed by Denso Corporation; and Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki Kaisha, Aichi, Japan, on Oct. 10, for 'control device and program.'

Inventor(s) include Kamio, Shigeru; Kawai, Keisuke; Liu, Haibo; Kubota, Masaru; and Abe, Mitsuyasu.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An EVC 10 comprising a coefficient estimation unit 105 that estimates a maximum friction coefficient of driving wheels with respect to a front road surface when a moving body causes the driving wheels to rotate and travels on the road surface, a limit calculation unit 102 that calculates a torque upper limit for driving the drive wheels in accordance with the estimated maximum friction coefficient, and a target-setting unit 103 that sets a target torque for driving the drive wheels so as not to exceed the torque upper limit."

The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 01, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/003236.
