According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The current invention presents a grammar correction engine utilizing artificial intelligence to support the idea of helping learners to gain better competencies in spoken English in real-time. Traditional grammar correction systems are mostly text based, and work in a post hoc manner, which offers feedback with a delay or in a generalized format, not appropriate in an interactive speaking situation. The invention presents a grammatical engine, which is context-aware and is dynamically processed to identify grammatical deviations and provides immediate corrective feedback in the form of voice or visual feedback. The system integrates into one system automatic speech recognition (ASR) and natural language understanding (NLU) and syntactic-semantic alignment models to analyse the grammatical structure in context rather in isolated phrases. The engine generates a personalized feedback by analyzing the sentence structure, tense agreement, subject-verb agreement, and the correctness of words in relation to the intended message that the speaker intended to convey. Adaptive learning modules also suggests options and adapt further depending on the level of proficiency, accent and the language used by the user. The invention fills the existing gap between grammatical assessment and fluency training at the conversation level and provides formative and real-time language correction to learners of a second language in the English language."
