MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541124621 A) filed by Manipal Academy Of Higher Education, Manipal, Karnataka, on Dec. 9, 2025, for 'construction material composition and method of preparation thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a construction material composition comprises: a ternary binder system comprises: an industrial by-product; an agriculture wastes material; and a marine waste material; activator solution comprises: an alkaline activator; and an agriculture waste co-activator. The present disclosure also relates to a method of preparation of a construction material composition comprising: a) mixing of an industrial by-product, an agriculture wastes material, and a marine waste material for a time period ranging from 1 min to 10 min to obtain a ternary binder system; b) adding an agriculture waste co-activator in an alkaline activator to obtain a activator solution; and c) mixing the ternary binder system of step a) with the activator solution of step b) for a time period ranging from 5 min to 15 min to obtain a construction material composition. The construction material of the present disclosure has superior mechanical properties including compressive strength exceeding 40.9 MPa and flexural strength exceeding 6.5 MPa at 28 days while reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint by 70.2% compared to conventional cement systems."
