MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010396 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'construction assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Ashima Kalra; Nidhi Chahal; Shivom Sharma; Vinay Pratap; and Ishita.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A construction assistive device comprises of a platform 1 developed to be positioned on surface, plurality of Omni-directional wheels 2 installed beneath platform 1 for manoeuvring platform 1 over surface, a touch interactive display panel 3 accessed by user for entering coordinates of location where user desired to perform construction, a GPS module for determining location, a plurality of polygonal shaped member 4 installed on platform 1 via bi-directional sliding arrangement 5 to slide and position one of member 4 over user desired location, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting dimension of shape user desired to construct over wall, drawer arrangement 5 configured within each of member 4 for expanding member 4 as per user entered dimension, angle sensor integrated within member 4 for determining alignment of bricks kept by user over member 4, speaker 6 for notifying the user to re-align brick."
