MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411030323 A) filed by Micro Focus Llc, Wilmington, U.S.A., on April 15, 2024, for 'consistent multi-turn conversation management.'

Inventor(s) include Luciano, Adam; Mullangi, Vijay; and Sharma, Arun.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Systems and methods are provided for more natural human-machine interactions. Artificial intelligence (AI) fails to consider the context of one question that is provided by a previous question. By preserving metadata (e.g., entities, intent, 5 topics, and/or the question itself) for a particular question for use in a second question, which the user may not be aware of, an AI system can more accurately select a relevant response. If the user changes the topic, a topic detection service will detect the change and exclude the metadata, which is now irrelevant, from influencing the response to the current question."
